As an Assistant Store Leader, you will play a vital role in cultivating a team atmosphere that promotes inclusivity and positive relationships. In this capacity, you will support the Store Manager in guiding and leading the team to meet store objectives, including sales and profitability targets, recruitment, performance management, training, and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to ensure the store meets company objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide leadership in maintaining operational excellence by adhering to company policies, procedures, loss prevention strategies, payroll management, reporting, and scheduling.
  • Assist in recruiting, developing, and training top talent who are focused on sales, customer service, and fashion.
  • Model exemplary behavior for The Torrid Connection and ensure the team delivers a shopping experience that fosters positive customer interactions and loyalty.
  • Support the Store Manager in executing merchandising strategies while ensuring a clean, consistent, and inviting store atmosphere that inspires customers to shop.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Store Manager and District Manager.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of six months of experience in specialty/apparel retail management with a proven track record of leading teams to success and achieving sales goals.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while remaining committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
  • Retail and fashion are dynamic industries; therefore, adaptability and flexibility in response to various situations, challenges, job responsibilities, and work schedules are crucial for success.
  • A keen interest in fashion trends and a commitment to staying informed about current styles.

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during scheduled shifts.
  • Capability to pack and unpack shipments, arrange and move store fixtures, and lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to reach for merchandise using ladders, step stools, and other retrieving tools.
