About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team at the BC Cancer Agency in Prince George BC. As a key member of our cancer care team, you will provide administrative support to our clinical staff and patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and staff
- Manage and coordinate appointments, tests, and other clinical activities
- Prepare and maintain accurate and confidential patient records
- Communicate effectively with clinical staff, patients, and families
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, mail distribution, and filing
- Assist with special projects and events as needed
Requirements
- Grade 12 graduation from a recognized secretarial program, including a recognized course in medical transcription
- Three years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Ability to keyboard at 50 wpm
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to deal with others effectively
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
