  • Analyzing data to assess the feasibility of long-term supply contracts for frequently purchased items.
  • Providing insights on procurement risks and purchase-to-pay processes.
  • Evaluating market conditions and recommending strategies to address competition.
  • Developing recommendations to enhance cost, delivery, and quality within the procurement portfolio.
  • Assisting in the creation of tools and reporting mechanisms to support operational objectives.
  • Upholding a high standard of performance and accountability in all work activities.

Qualifications for Success:

  • A two-year diploma or a four-year degree in Supply Chain Management or a related business field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of four years of substantial experience in category-based purchasing and contract negotiation.
  • A Purchasing Designation (SCMP, C.P.M. or C.P.P.O.) is considered an asset.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of public procurement processes and relevant trade agreements.
  • Proven ability to apply competitive bidding laws and contract management principles effectively.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to create value for the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to professional responsibilities, continuously seeking to improve business practices. You will be adept at working within cross-functional teams and possess strong analytical skills to conduct thorough problem analysis and present actionable recommendations.
