Spectrum Health Care Inc is seeking both full-time and part-time Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to deliver care in various facility environments.

Role Overview

Personal Support Workers are essential to our healthcare framework. At Spectrum Health Care, they engage closely with patients and their families, offering personal assistance and support with daily living activities. The contributions of Personal Support Workers are vital for patients to recuperate safely from illnesses or to maintain their independence as they age.

  • Deliver personal care and support with daily living tasks (such as bathing, toileting, skincare, light meal preparation, feeding, etc.)
  • Continuously evaluate, anticipate, identify, and respond to the evolving needs of patients, communicating available Total Care resources when necessary.
  • Execute assigned tasks under the guidance of a Home Support Supervisor.
  • Travel within the designated region to provide care at patients' residences or facilities.
Required Qualifications
  • Possess one of the following credentials (mandatory):
    • Valid Personal Support Worker Certificate from an accredited program.
    • RN/RPN Student who has completed at least the first year of their studies.
    • Internationally licensed Nurse, Midwife, or Physician.
  • Physical capability to fulfill job requirements (e.g., ability to stand, bend, walk, crouch, kneel, and reach for extended periods; ability to lift 23 kg independently; ability to assist clients with mobility).
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional personal care and customer service.
  • Current Standard First Aid and Level C CPR certification.
  • Two Step TB Test (within the last 12 months).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (additional language proficiency is a plus).
