Spectrum Health Care Inc is seeking full-time and part-time Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to provide essential care in various healthcare environments.

Role Overview

As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in our healthcare system. You will collaborate closely with patients and their families, delivering personal care and support with daily living activities. The assistance provided by Personal Support Workers is vital for patients to recover safely from illnesses or to maintain their independence as they age.

  • Deliver personal care and support with daily living activities (bathing, toileting, skincare, light meal preparation, feeding, etc.).
  • Continuously assess and respond to the evolving needs of patients, communicating available resources when necessary.
  • Execute assigned tasks under the guidance of a Home Support Supervisor.
  • Travel within the designated region to provide care at patients' homes or facilities.
Qualifications
  • Possess one of the following credentials (mandatory):
    • Valid Personal Support Worker Certificate from an accredited program.
    • RN/RPN Student who has completed at least the first year of their program.
    • Internationally licensed Nurse, Midwife, or Physician.
  • Physical capability to fulfill job requirements (e.g., ability to stand, bend, walk, crouch, kneel, and reach for extended periods; ability to lift 23 kg independently; assist clients with mobility).
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional personal care and customer service.
  • Valid Standard First Aid and Level C CPR certification.
  • Two Step TB Test (within the last 12 months).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (additional language skills are an asset).
