We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at 1000635575 ONTARIO INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to construction and renovation, including preparing estimates, reading blueprints, and measuring and cutting materials.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
The successful candidate will work in a variety of settings, including construction sites, warehouses, and offices. The work environment will be noisy and dusty, and the candidate will be required to work outdoors.
Requirements- No degree, certificate or diploma required
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
