Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at Shared Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide professional nursing services to patients with complex and unpredictable health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide independent nursing services, including administration of interventions and treatments.
  • Take a leadership role within the healthcare team and facilitate coordination of patient care and discharge.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Maintain and provide proof of active registration with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba or the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Registered Psychiatric Nursing program or approved Registered Nursing program.
  • Recent, related mental health experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses/Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Registered Psychiatric/Registered Nurses.
  • Ability to prioritize care for an individual patient or group of patients.
  • Ability to delegate care appropriately and monitor outcomes of delegated care.
Working Conditions

This is a term position that may end earlier as outlined in your collective agreement. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred for a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check.
