Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination
    • Define customer requirements and project scope
    • Collect and maintain customer data
    • Explain company processes and procedures to customers
    • Select and price service products
    • Convey permit requirements to customers
    • Schedule work with customers, ensuring crew and material availability
  • Project Development
    • Review foreign utility data, legal land-base considerations, and geography to determine gas layout and depth
    • Draft written work procedures for manager's review and approval
    • Complete electronic layout or engineering drawings
    • Confirm and update pipe sizing on drawings
    • Identify and obtain required internal and external approvals
    • Requisition required materials and manufactured items
    • Complete detailed estimates
    • Utilize economic test tools to determine pricing
  • Customer Relations
    • Build relationships with customers and external contacts
    • Respond to customer inquiries, including installation costs and scheduling
    • Act as primary contact for premium-rated customers
  • Operational and Maintenance Issues
    • Respond to overbuilds, metering consolidations, meter protection, and other operational issues
    • Provide direction to Planning and Design Technicians and Technologist 1's
Requirements
  • Education: Technology diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution in a directly related field
  • Experience: Four (4) years directly related, relevant work experience
  • Working knowledge of computer systems operations and various applications software
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, including telephone call handling and conflict resolution
  • Ability to analyze and resolve technical problems
  • Valid Class 5 British Columbia Driver's license
