We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Property Management team as Director of Property Management. Reporting to the Vice President of Property Management, this individual will oversee the management of both residential and commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Property Management team, ensuring the effective management of assigned properties.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize systems and processes, driving cost savings and efficiency.
- Oversee leasing, market research, maintenance, budgeting, and compliance to regulatory bodies, ensuring seamless property operations.
- Support the development and implementation of standard operating procedures to align with business growth.
- Lead employee staffing, development, and retention strategies, fostering a positive work environment.
- Facilitate departmental training, including education on legislation revisions, to ensure team members are equipped to excel.
- Negotiate operational/service contracts and monitor compliance, maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Establish guidelines to maximize customer service, efficiency, and effectiveness, ensuring exceptional property management.
- Post-secondary degree in a relevant field.
- 7+ years of property management experience, with 5+ years of leadership capacity.
- Proficiency in Yardi Voyageur, MS Office, and relevant databases and software.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Strong working knowledge of financial reporting, budget planning, and forecasting.
- Solid strategic problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and prioritize competing demands.
A competitive base pay, variable pay, annual merit pay increases, paid vacation, comprehensive benefit plan, matching RRSP plan, general education and training program, and more. The base salary range for this position is $110,000 to $130,000, depending on candidate experience and qualifications.
