We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Planning Analyst for a prominent client in the energy sector. This contract role offers a unique chance to collaborate directly with senior management and contribute to strategic financial planning initiatives within a dynamic organization.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the team to develop comprehensive monthly and quarterly budgets, ultimately contributing to long-term strategic plans.
- Prepare detailed materials and presentations for senior management, effectively communicating financial forecasts and key insights.
- Analyze variances in financial results and forecasts, identifying trends and providing actionable recommendations.
- Support the development of business initiatives by conducting valuations and building financial models that align with regulatory changes, industry best practices, and accounting standards.
- Utilize advanced systems like SAP to maintain cost center hierarchies, organize business units, and perform accurate allocations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial modeling and budget development within a corporate environment.
- University degree with a focus on finance or accounting, coupled with professional designations such as CPA or CFA.
- Exceptional analytical skills, proficiency in consolidation, reporting, and financial modeling techniques.
- Ability to synthesize complex information, develop strategic insights, and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
- Extensive experience with SAP, Oracle Hyperion, WDesk, PCS, and MS BI.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and US GAAP accounting principles.
- Collaborative team player with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Highly organized and results-oriented individual capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
