What Awaits You?

We are on the lookout for a Quality Assurance Software Analyst to become a vital part of our evolving Technology team. The selected individual will collaborate with a team to conduct fundamental programming, system integration testing, analysis, and task coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct fundamental analysis, coding/scripting, testing, debugging, configuration, incident investigation, documentation, application health monitoring, and program implementation. Evaluate system change specifications and software requirements, document, prepare, and execute test scenarios. Analyze test results to accurately compare outputs against expected outcomes. Investigate and report on test results regarding database impacts, errors, bugs, and usability issues. Engage with clients to gather product requirements. Participate in design reviews, offering insights on requirements, product design, and potential challenges. Facilitate coordination across various teams on diverse technical issues, including the deployment of complex software to different testing environments, understanding problems, and aiding in building consensus for solutions. Utilize knowledge of current industry trends and techniques to devise solutions within the context of assigned projects. Develop a foundational understanding of business knowledge and terminology through daily tasks. Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree coupled with one year of relevant technology internship or work experience. Proficient technical skills in Java, JavaScript/Python, ReactJs, SQL, TDD (preferred), Selenium, UCD, Jenkins. Experience with Agile methodologies (preferred), automation and automation scripts, BDD, CI/CD, DevOps exposure, and familiarity with Rally/Jira. Knowledge of Guidewire Product Testing with a strong understanding of P&C insurance (Auto & Home LOB) is advantageous. A minimum of three years of experience in Personal Lines Insurance. At least one year of programming or development experience. Basic analytical skills for programming/configuration tasks, identifying discrepancies, incident and defect trends, and resolutions, along with monitoring and/or supporting applications of basic complexity. Familiarity with testing techniques and compatibility with various software programs is essential. Demonstrates an eagerness to learn about supported business systems and technology. Knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle, Defect Life Cycle, and Functional Testing. Beginning domain expertise, with the ability to learn through research, collaboration, and thoughtful inquiries, and an openness to seize opportunities for knowledge enhancement. Basic problem-solving skills, including the ability to recognize and analyze technology defects and incidents, developing timely and practical solutions with guidance, and identifying cause-and-effect relationships in assigned systems and applications. Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate thoughts and ideas clearly and contribute effectively within the team. Foundational leadership potential, including the ability to accept guidance while learning valuable leadership traits, being transparent about areas needing improvement, and being receptive to feedback.
