About the Role

Vancouver Christian School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Assistant to support our elementary students. As a key member of our educational team, you will work closely with teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with diverse needs, promoting their emotional, intellectual, and social development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other support personnel to develop and implement individualized plans.
  • Assist students in adapting to classroom situations, environments, and activities to ensure their success.
  • Evaluate and maintain records of student progress, providing valuable insights for teachers and administrators.
  • Participate in school-based team meetings, contributing to the development of strategies to support student learning.
Ideal Qualifications
  • EA Certification or a recognized Post-Secondary Special Education Assistant program.
  • Completion of a certificate/diploma in a related field or extensive experience in an equivalent field.
  • One thousand (1,000) hours of home team/Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) training and work experience.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
