Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Project Designer to join our team at Dillon Consulting. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality design solutions for various civil engineering projects.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement design solutions for civil engineering projects, including earthwork analysis, road and parking lot design, site grading, sewer design and analysis, and watermain design.
  • Produce detailed drawings and reports that clearly communicate design intentions and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with project managers and staff to monitor project schedules and design costs, and communicate project information to stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior staff, and assist in their skill development and growth.
  • Assist in the preparation of quantity calculations, cost estimates, and contract administration duties as required.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative design solutions and best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Expert knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Subdivision and Site Plan Design.
  • Working knowledge of stormwater management practices and techniques.
  • 8+ years of experience in the civil/land development sector, with experience working on projects in the city of Toronto.
  • Experience in sewer design and hydraulic analysis of sewer systems is preferred.
