Key Responsibilities:

The Security Systems Technician will be tasked with:

  • Installing, programming, commissioning, and verifying security systems (including video surveillance, access control, and perimeter security) along with the IT networks that support these technologies.
  • Providing technical support and customer service for security systems, which may include being on-call and traveling to various client locations.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Completion of a vocational diploma in security systems, electrical, or a related field.
  • Possession of a valid Journeyman or Apprentice certification in security system installation or electrical work.
  • Holding an ASP construction health and safety card or willingness to complete the required training.
  • Experience in programming and commissioning security products.
  • Familiarity with IT networks related to security systems.
  • Proficient in the MS Office suite.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness, independence, and teamwork.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Fluency in French.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Availability for flexible hours and overtime as required.
  • Preferred: experience with Genetec and/or C-CURE video surveillance systems.
  • Preferred: experience with fire alarm systems.
