Job Title: Truck Driver

Gillz Transport Ltd. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to operate our fleet of vehicles and transport goods and materials safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive and Operate Vehicles: Drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring safe and efficient transportation.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload goods from vehicles, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Perform Vehicle Inspections: Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Maintain Vehicle Records: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Obtain Permits and Documents: Obtain special permits and documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Personal Qualities: Efficient interpersonal skills, judgment, organized, reliable.
Work Environment

Work as part of a two-person team or convoy, driving lighter, special purpose trucks, and overseeing the condition of vehicles.

Work Term and Hours

Permanent position, 40 to 50 hours per week.

Work Language: English.
