The role of First Cook embodies a commitment to excellence in food preparation and presentation, contributing to both restaurant service and event catering within a collaborative team setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Execute precise cooking techniques in a fast-paced restaurant environment, participating actively in a kitchen brigade.
  2. Prepare and serve food for various events and banquets, ensuring a seamless dining experience.
  3. Oversee the final presentation of dishes, including cooking, seasoning, and artistic plating.
  4. Maintain well-stocked and organized workstations, ensuring readiness for service.
  5. Guarantee high-quality food production, adhering to timing standards in an a la carte setting.
  6. Prepare ingredients and follow recipes according to established kitchen protocols.
  7. Manage the proper storage of food items and kitchen supplies from delivery to usage.
  8. Assist chefs and kitchen staff in the preparation of menu items.
  9. Adhere to food safety practices and maintain cleanliness in all kitchen areas.
  10. Perform additional kitchen tasks as assigned by supervisory staff.
  11. Support coordination of preparation tasks across various kitchen operations.
  12. Utilize kitchen tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  13. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure a cohesive guest experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Availability to work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  2. Strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and attention to detail.
  3. Capability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift heavy items as required.
  4. Understanding of kitchen operations, health and safety regulations, and a passion for culinary arts.
  5. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  6. Proficiency in managing time and working under pressure.
  7. Formal culinary education or relevant experience in similar culinary environments.
  8. Possession of a Food Handler's Certificate.
