The Cage and Count Attendant plays a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and managing financial transactions at the gaming site. This position requires a strong knowledge of cash handling, foreign currency, and other settlement types. The successful candidate will possess a secondary school diploma, one or more years of experience in customer service and handling cash, and excellent communication and mathematical skills. They will work under Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations and comply with all applicable laws, policies, and procedures. Key responsibilities include handling cash and voucher transactions with patrons, managing the care and control of financial assets, and working as part of a team to remove and count contents of cash boxes. The Count Role is a physically demanding job that requires repetitive bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling, as well as continuous standing or walking. The successful candidate will be able to obtain registration as a category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
