Role Responsibilities

The Director of Engineering will oversee research and development initiatives aimed at enhancing existing products and facilitating the introduction of new offerings. This role will involve providing technical support to both internal teams and external clients.

The Director will utilize a variety of design and engineering methodologies to conceptualize and develop innovative products for diverse applications. Responsibilities include:

  • Product Development: Collaborate with various departments to align with the company's strategic objectives, maintain a System Roadmap, and manage the New Product Introduction process.
  • Technical Support: Offer Applications Engineering support, maintain comprehensive knowledge of ongoing projects, and assist in the qualification of key system components.
  • Management: Conduct administrative tasks, monitor project progress, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Staff Development: Recruit and mentor engineering personnel, ensuring the continuous growth and competence of the team.

Key Performance Indicators

The Director of Engineering will be evaluated based on specific performance goals that will be established in collaboration with the successful candidate.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A post-secondary degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
  • Over 10 years of experience in design engineering, new product introduction, and engineering management.
  • Expertise in engines, emissions technologies, and powertrain systems, particularly related to diesel applications.
  • A willingness to travel as required.
