About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Island Home Furniture. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and manage a team of sales staff, including apprentices, sales associates, and design team members, to ensure they are meeting sales targets and providing excellent customer service.
  • Sales Floor Management: Assign sales staff to duties, manage sales floor operations, and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory levels, including receiving and stocking merchandise, and ensuring accurate inventory counts.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, resolve customer complaints, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze sales reports, merchandising reports, and personnel reports to inform business decisions.
  • Store Operations: Manage store operations, including cash handling, inventory management, and store maintenance.
  • Performance Management: Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and coach staff to improve performance.
Requirements
  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of retail management experience.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
