Job Title: Registered Technologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Technologist to join our team at Brightshores. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional patient care and maintain a safe and respectful environment.
  • Operate and maintain Digital Radiography and Computed Radiography equipment to acquire high-quality images.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of patient safety.
  • Adhere to Brightshores' 'CARE' Behaviours and 'LEAD' Competencies.
Requirements:
  • 3-year community college or undergraduate degree in a related field.
  • Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario in Radiography or eligible for registration.
  • Professional Liability Insurance.
  • Current registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologist (or eligible for registration).
  • Working knowledge of the Standards of Practice of the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario and the Regulated Health Professions Act.
  • Current technical experience with Digital Radiography and Computed Radiography equipment.
  • Current PACS experience.
  • Current CT experience.
  • IV Certification course.
  • Advanced Computer Skills.
  • Proven interpersonal skills to successfully communicate with patients and staff.
  • Demonstrated ability in the following competencies: initiative/self-management, problem-solving, and accountability.
  • Able to identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Able to work independently and co-operatively as part of a team.
  • Positive advocate for professional body of Radiology and the Imaging Department.
  • Ability to work all shifts, including weekends; ability for standby and multi-site coverage when required.
  • Recent satisfactory performance and attendance record.
