About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Procurement Leader to join our team at Agropur. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing optimization and standardization initiatives related to procurement activities from a total cost of ownership perspective.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Strategy Development: Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business needs, including the identification of optimization and standardization initiatives.
  • Supplier Management: Manage relationships with suppliers and purchasing groups, including the qualification approval of new suppliers and participation in discussions with major suppliers.
  • Tendering Processes: Coordinate tendering processes and ensure adequate supply (quantity, quality) in collaboration with VP Manufacturing.
  • Procurement Policy and Compliance: Monitor purchasing policy and day-to-day purchasing activities, including new supplier creation, master data, and standard prices entered into systems.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a talent team to attract high performers to purchasing, ensuring best practices across the company and training purchasing/other teams on purchasing tools and negotiation tactics.
Requirements
  • Experience: 10-15 years' experience in purchasing/operations, with proven management experience including operations budgeting and organizational transformation management.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to build alignment across the organization, negotiation skills when communicating with senior supplier management, and ability to develop talent/people within the organization.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
