Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse
Job Summary:
The RK MacDonald Nursing Home is a leading Long-Term Care Home, providing exceptional care to 136 Residents and employing a team of approximately 250 staff members in various departments. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care, adhering to established standards and protocols.
- Administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as prescribed by physicians.
- Conduct thorough assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient progress.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Current license with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Nova Scotia (CLPNS).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in medication administration.
- Recent experience in a geriatric setting is preferred.
- Recent experience as a Team Lead or Supervisor of Certified Care Assistant (CCA) staff or equivalent is preferred.
- Current CPR certification and annual updates.
- Annual WHMIS certification.
