Overview

Join the Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) team as an Associate Physician within the Renal Services. In this position, you will deliver patient care within the VGH Renal Program, collaborating closely with the supervising Nephrologist. You will engage with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and high-quality healthcare delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • At least 2 years of recognized postgraduate training
  • Successful completion of all necessary medical examinations
  • Eligibility for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC)
  • Current ACLS certification is mandatory

Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient in diagnosing and managing end-stage renal disease (ESRD)
  • Experience in addressing dialysis-related complications
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Proficient in clinical documentation through computer systems
  • Able to thrive in a collaborative team setting

Evaluation and Probation

Your performance will be assessed during a probationary period of 12 weeks, focusing on various competencies. Continued employment will depend on satisfactory performance evaluations.

Compensation and Benefits

Your remuneration will align with HEABC guidelines at Range 9 level, including benefits such as paid time off and insurance coverage. Initial compensation during the orientation phase will be at Range 8 level.
