Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications
  • Operate various welding equipment, including manual and automated systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Examine welds to ensure compliance with standards
  • Utilize flame-cutting equipment and metal shaping machines
  • Fit, braze, and straighten metal components
  • Assess the weldability of different materials
  • Handle hoisting and lifting equipment
  • Monitor and adjust robotic welding production lines
  • Perform maintenance and minor repairs on welding equipment
Materials and Techniques

Experience with the following materials and techniques is essential:

  • Aluminum alloys
  • Copper and its alloys
  • Steel, iron, and heavy metals
  • Gas metal arc welding (GMAW)
  • Plasma arc welding (PAW)
  • ARC spot welding
Physical Requirements

The role involves:

  • Working in a fast-paced environment
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Handling heavy loads (up to 45 kg / 100 lbs)
  • Physical demands including manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Standing for extended periods
