Our client, a leading financial institution in Canada, is seeking an experienced IT Auditor to join their team for a 6-month contract with a possibility of extension. The role is hybrid, with 2 days a week spent in the Toronto office.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct audit testing, discuss findings with management, and document work performed.
- Execute, plan, and report on assigned audit projects.
- Deliver end-to-end process of audit execution, ensuring the nature and extent of testing is appropriate to support the objective, scope, and overall opinion.
- Complete timely review of work papers, ensure internal control weaknesses are clearly documented.
- Ensure audit results are gathered, determine the root cause of problems, and report accordingly.
- Present audit results and findings to line management.
- Ensure audit reports are written to a consistently high standard and are finalized within established department metrics.
- 8+ years of hands-on IT audit experience.
- Proficient in auditing IT processes, general controls, application, data, third-party, technology controls, and project audits.
- Proficient at applying risk-based auditing standards, practices, techniques, processes, and methodologies to the performance and review of audits.
- Working knowledge of operations and regulatory environments of each audit unit globally, as required for specific areas of assigned responsibility.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, business, accounting, or related discipline, or equivalent education/experience.
- CRISC/CPA an asset.
- Technology Risk Management experience in the financial services industry.
- Big 4 accounting firms experience (PwC, EY, KPMG, Deloitte).
