About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Geoscientist to join our team at the Geological Survey Division of the Department of Natural Resources and Renewables. As a key member of our team, you will work on a wide range of environmental geology projects, including hydrogeology, geochemistry, and geohazard issues.

Primary Accountabilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the department's radon gas research work, managing the department's real-time aquifer monitoring network, developing and maintaining the department's hydrogeological information, and contributing to the characterization of karst geological systems across the province.

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of a B.Sc. in geology, hydrogeology, earth sciences, or environmental geosciences, plus a minimum of 5 years' experience in a geoscience-related field. You must also hold a Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) designation or be eligible for professional designation with the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Nova Scotia.
