Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Care Attendant who will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. This position involves delivering exceptional care and fostering meaningful connections with individuals in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalized care services to residents, ensuring respect, dignity, and compassion in every interaction.
  • Administer medications safely, with comprehensive training provided.
  • Collaborate with the care team to implement infection control protocols, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of both residents and staff.
  • Assist with light housekeeping and laundry tasks as needed.
  • Respond to the medical, physical, and emotional needs of residents in coordination with the Health and Wellness Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Covid-19 vaccination is mandatory.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification required.
  • Enrollment in the Alberta Health Care Aide (HCA) Directory is necessary for Alberta applicants.
  • Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and understanding towards residents.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage workload efficiently during shifts.
  • Familiarity with medical equipment is an asset, along with a willingness to learn.

All candidates must have the legal right to work in Canada. A Criminal Record Search, including a vulnerable sector screening, will be required as part of the employment process.
