Senior Operations Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Senior Operations Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the successful operation of the province-wide Common Collection System (CCS). This position will be responsible for tracking operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), creating and maintaining operational spreadsheets, performing data entry, monitoring service disruptions, participating in continuous improvement initiatives, and performing operational analysis to identify potential efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain operational spreadsheets in Excel to track, monitor, and report on operational KPIs.
- Work with the Power BI team to provide critical data points for various operational dashboards.
- Run operational reports and format them using operational standards for ease of analysis.
- Monitor the communications email during business hours and assign follow-up tasks to the appropriate Contract Administrator and close out issues with Circular Materials Ontario.
- Ensure all KPIs are collected and tracked, and that all monthly reports are completed on time and in the acceptable format.
- Assist with and act as a back-up for developing and supporting the PRO pick-up for scheduling trucks at various Receiving Facilities (RFs) across the province.
- Assist with and act as the back-up for developing the audit sample schedule to be provided to all RFs across the province for Blue Box Material (BBM) that should be collected for auditing at the central audit site.
- Act as a back-up for the IPR Operations Program Manager.
- Maintain data spreadsheets to support EPR Programs.
- Review and approve EPR program invoices.
- Allocate performance volume to PRO customers and work with finance to ensure correct billing.
- Input all operational data, including audit composition data, KPIs, material movements, etc.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects for the CCS.
- Draft Standard Operating Procedures, Policies, and operational checklists as required.
- Maintain all documents related to the contract(s) in a centralized filing system.
- Complete data analysis, reconciliation, identify errors, and ensure corrections are made in a timely manner.
- Input data into centralized systems as required.
- Identify, assess, and report risks, issues, concerns, and opportunities for improvement for consideration by RLG Management.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data management and continuous improvement.
- Proven experience working in an operational environment with tight deadlines.
- Experience with data analytics, logistics, and Key Performance Indicators.
- Experience performing program audits, identifying deficiencies, and recommending corrections.
- Knowledge of various municipal, provincial, and federal legislation (e.g., Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Protection, by-laws, etc.).
- Six Sigma training (green belt) considered an asset.
- Project Management experience considered an asset.
- Experience working in the waste management industry considered an asset.
