About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker Apprentice to join our team at MEHAR WOODWORKS. As a Cabinetmaker Apprentice, you will be responsible for assisting in the creation of custom-made cabinets and furniture pieces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate woodworking machines to cut, shape, and form parts and components
  • Prepare specifications for custom-made cabinets to maximize storage
  • Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces using hand tools
  • Study plans and specifications to ensure accurate production
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems
  • Trim joints and fit parts together to form complete units
  • Sand wooden surfaces and apply finishes to finished products
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Repair or restyle wooden furniture and fixtures
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 30 hours per week
