As a Culinary Service Specialist, you will report directly to the Chef and engage in a variety of customer-focused tasks within the culinary services domain. This role demands exceptional customer service abilities and meticulous attention to detail. There are ample opportunities for career advancement for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare food items and take ownership of tasks associated with your designated service station.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations during food preparation, including:
    • Utilizing proper techniques with tools, supplies, and equipment (e.g., knives, ovens, cleaning materials).
    • Wearing and correctly using appropriate personal protective equipment (e.g., non-slip shoes, cut-resistant gloves).
    • Adhering to FoodSafe and/or ServeSafe standards, including the documentation of all time-sensitive food items.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the workspace, including equipment, kitchen, and dining areas. Wash dishes and utensils manually or with a dishwasher.
  • Act as a representative of goodwill, ethics, and excellent client relations on behalf of Dexterra.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service consistently, fostering an environment that aims to create remarkable culinary experiences.
  • Maintain speed of service standards.
  • Listen to customer inquiries (both internal and external) and respond professionally to all questions and concerns, escalating issues to management as necessary.

WHO WE SEEK:

  • 1-2 years of experience in the hospitality or food service sector.
  • Food Safety certification.
  • Completion of WHMIS training (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System).
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Professional demeanor and punctuality.
  • Availability for shifts from Monday to Sunday, 7 am to 10 pm (weekend availability is essential).
  • A quick learner who can work independently.
