Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position for a University Counselor at the Lycée Français de Toronto. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance and support to students in their university applications, organizing college fairs and information sessions, and building relationships with universities and colleges.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and support to students in their university applications, including resume building, essay writing, and interview preparation.
- Organize and coordinate college fairs and information sessions, featuring representatives from top universities and colleges.
- Build and maintain relationships with universities and colleges, ensuring that our students have access to the best educational opportunities.
- Assist students in exploring career paths and academic opportunities, including internships, research projects, and study abroad programs.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide guidance and support.
- Knowledge of university application processes and requirements.
- Experience in organizing events and fairs related to higher education.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and university representatives.
- Understanding of career counseling and academic advising.
- Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Higher Education, or related field.
- Certification in College Counseling is an asset.
