About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team at Swiftsure Drywall Interiors Ltd. as a Drywall Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our experienced drywall installers and repair technicians in various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload construction materials, including drywall sheets, from trucks and equipment.
  • Material Handling: Transport and store drywall materials, ensuring they are properly secured and protected from damage.
  • Task Execution: Assist in the execution of drywall installation and repair tasks, including mixing and applying joint compound, taping and mudding, and sanding.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate various construction equipment, such as lifts and scaffolding, to facilitate drywall installation and repair.
  • Site Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Debris Removal: Remove rubble and debris from construction sites, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English is required, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Work Experience: Previous experience in construction or a related field is an asset, but not required.
