Job Title: Lead Negotiator, Pharmaceutical Partnerships

The Lead Negotiator, Pharmaceutical Partnerships is a critical role within Express Scripts Inc., responsible for executing and delivering on the company's Pharmaceutical Partnerships strategy. This position requires a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, market access, and negotiation skills to manage relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute strategic partnerships with pharmaceutical manufacturers.
  • Monitor market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes to inform negotiation strategies and ensure compliance.
  • Lead the negotiation process for product listing agreements (PLAs) with pharmaceutical manufacturers, focusing on mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including pharmaceutical manufacturers, market access teams, and clinical teams.
  • Provide strategic guidance on market access and reimbursement strategies to ensure business growth and profitability.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical market access, pharmacy, health insurance, or benefits management.
  • University degree in Pharmacy, Business, Science, or related field preferred; clinical background considered a strong asset.
  • Bilingual English and French considered a strong asset.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Subject matter expertise in market access, benefits/insurance industry, value proposition development, and drug reimbursement processes.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to create and deliver professional presentations.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and drive business growth through strategic partnerships.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen, with the ability to synthesize complex concepts and information.
