As an ICU Registered Nurse, you will serve as the primary caregiver for patients and their families in critical care settings. You will be equipped with advanced certifications, including Code Blue and Outreach team membership, to provide exceptional care. Your role will involve delivering comprehensive, holistic care tailored to the individual needs of patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership in nursing assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.
  • Engage in effective communication, both written and verbal, to navigate the complexities of the healthcare environment.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must have completed an accredited nursing education program and hold an active or eligible registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification is also required.

Additional Qualifications:

Candidates with one year of full-time experience in an adult medical/surgical unit within the last 12 months will be preferred. Additional training in Code Blue response, CRRT, PLEX, and ACLS is highly valued.
