We are seeking a skilled Cake Decorator to join our team at Dairy Queen. As a Cake Decorator, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing desserts that meet our high standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare dough and batters: Mix and prepare dough and batters for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Requisition materials: Order and requisition materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Bake and decorate: Bake mixed dough and batters, and frost and decorate cakes and baked goods.
- Train staff: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
- Prepare special orders: Prepare special orders for customers, including dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Draw up production schedules: Create production schedules to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas: Regularly inspect kitchen and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met.
- Operate machinery: Operate machinery, including mixers and ovens, to prepare and bake goods.
- Organize and maintain inventory: Organize and maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies.
- Oversee sales and merchandising: Oversee the sales and merchandising of baked goods, including creating displays and promoting products.
Requirements:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a bakery or food service environment.
- Language: English.
- Work hours: 40 hours per week.
