Job Summary
The Requirements Manager will be responsible for defining, analyzing, and managing requirements for our products and processes. This role will ensure that our design is focused on meeting customer needs and that our products and processes are adequately tested and evaluated against specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain requirements for products and processes
- Manage and lead the Systems Requirements and Architecture Engineering group
- Act as champion for requirements and architecture engineering, promoting best practices and educating the organization
- Ensure customer needs and requirements are defined or refined at the start of the systems lifecycle
- Support the conduct of technology assessments to determine design constraints and restraints
- Define/refine the process for developing and managing system operational and support concept documents throughout the systems engineering lifecycle
- Establish requirements engineering measures
- Lead group in authoring and implementing ISO 15288 compliant systems engineering sub-processes
- Work with all other Engineering disciplines to ensure handoff between ISO15288 and ISO 12207 are defined and adhered to
- Establish systems architecture capability as L3Harris WESCAM
- Establish MBSE capability within the Requirements and Architecture team
- Establish a systems architecture library
- Establish and maintain requirements database
Requirements
- Deep understanding of requirements methodology
- Familiar with the installation and integration of airborne, land and marine electronic equipment
- Knowledge of commercial and military standards
- Lean six sigma and continuous improvement
- DOORS; knowledge of MBSE is desirable
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong project and technical management skills
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills
- Proven requirements analysis and derivation skills
Experience and Education Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience, or
- Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience, or
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
