Job Summary:

Equifax is seeking a highly experienced Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead the development and implementation of innovative cloud-based consumer credit risk products on updated Google Cloud platforms. As a key member of our technology leadership team, you will provide strategic direction and oversight to ensure the successful delivery of these critical products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Strategic Direction: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for cloud transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Product, Data, Operations, and Sales partners.
  • Lead Software Development: Lead cross-functional teams with software, quality, reliability engineers, project managers, and scrum masters to build best-in-class applications and software delivery projects.
  • Leadership and People Management: Mentor, coach, and develop junior and senior software, quality, and reliability engineers.
  • Agile Methodologies: Lead sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, and other team activities.
  • Technical Vision: Develop the long-term technical vision and roadmap within and beyond the scope of your teams.
  • Compliance and KPIs: Ensure compliance with Equifax secure software development guidelines and best practices, and responsible for meeting and maintaining QE, DevSec, and FinOps KPIs.
  • Innovation: Drive innovation within technology in areas related to AI, software engineering, and process innovation.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or a minimum of fifteen (15) years of equivalent experience in software engineering.
  • Cloud Expertise: Expertise in cloud service providers, such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft Azure.
  • Software Engineering Skills: Strong software engineering and delivery skillset, including effort estimation, resource planning, and delivery planning.
  • Financial Management: Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial optimization.
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
  • Modern Software Development Practices: Understanding of modern software development practices, including Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps principles.
  • Cloud Security: Knowledge of cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, compliance requirements, and handling of sensitive data (PII, PHI).
  • Leadership and People Management: Strong leadership and people management skills, including experience managing over one hundred (100) resources, including offshore teams.
  • Certifications: Cloud Certifications from Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft.
  • Education: MBA degree or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
