Key Responsibilities:

Leadership
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to introduce innovative programs that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with department heads in various sectors such as Housing, Culture, Health, Education, and Finance to formulate and implement strategic plans.
  • Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet operational demands.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance, overseeing recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Encourage a culture of positive communication and support throughout the organization.
Community Engagement
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the community's dynamics, including member interactions and emerging trends.
  • Share insights from community engagement to inform strategic initiatives.
  • Enhance community relations through active engagement and collaboration.
  • Establish yourself as a leader within the community, enhancing the organization's reputation.
  • Represent the organization with key stakeholders and media to promote our mission.
Program Management
  • Lead the development and execution of the annual operational plan and budget.
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring alignment with established protocols and priorities.
  • Ensure effective program implementation by adhering to funding and administrative guidelines.
  • Monitor program compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Funding and Compliance
  • Identify funding opportunities and ensure compliance with all contractual obligations.
  • Authorize departmental funding requests to maximize resource availability.

A successful candidate will thrive on community engagement and possess a deep understanding of the unique cultural practices within First Nations communities. Experience in public service or community service delivery is highly valued.

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of management experience in public service or community-focused organizations.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Public Administration.
  • Demonstrated success in team leadership and budget management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong project management capabilities with a proven track record.
  • Proficiency in administrative functions, including Microsoft Office and proposal writing.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to pass background checks.
  • A commitment to understanding and learning about First Nations communities.
