Front Desk Representative

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team at Blackfalds Motor Inn. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, managing room assignments, and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Guest Services: Register arriving guests, assign rooms, and process group arrivals and departures.
- Front Desk Operations: Take, cancel, and change room reservations, and provide information on hotel facilities and services.
- Accounting and Finance: Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments, as well as balance cash and complete balance sheets and cash reports.
- Inventory and Maintenance: Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments, and follow emergency and safety procedures.
- Clerical and Administrative: Perform clerical duties, answer telephone calls and relay messages, and assist clients/guests with special needs.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: Experience an asset.
- Computer and Technology Knowledge: Multi-line switchboard, word processing software, computerized bookkeeping system, central reservation system (CRS), and spreadsheet.
- Security and Safety: Criminal record check.
- Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, fast-paced environment, overtime required, standing for extended periods, and work under pressure.
- Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability, and team player.
- On-site Housing Options: Available for eligible employees.
- Work Term: Permanent.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 30 to 44 hours per week.
