We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at A-1 Window Mfg. Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for reading blueprints, preparing layouts, and assembling and joining materials to construct and renovate residences and wooden structures.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
- Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the trade
- Permanent employment
- 40 hours per week
- English language proficiency
The successful candidate will work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking environments, with physically demanding tasks.
