Nursing Unit Clerk

Northern Health Authority is seeking an experienced and highly efficient Unit Clerk to support the Internal Medical Unit department. This is a permanent part-time position that requires strong clerical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform clerical functions related to the work of a nursing unit, including data entry, filing, and communication with staff and patients.
- Provide administrative support to the nursing team, including preparing reports, managing supplies, and maintaining accurate records.
- Work effectively in a team environment, communicating clearly and respectfully with colleagues and patients.
- Utilize computer software applications to perform tasks and maintain accurate records.
- Grade 12, medical terminology, and graduation from a recognized Nursing Unit Clerk program.
- One year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to keyboard 35 wpm.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
