Job Opportunity in Psychology

The Department of Psychology at Brandon University is seeking Contract Academic Staff to teach courses in the 2024-2025 academic year. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to teach in-person and contribute to the academic community.

Qualifications:

  • A PhD in Psychology is preferred; a Master's Degree in Psychology is required. Applicants may establish an experiential/traditional equivalency to the Master's degree.
  • Successful teaching experience and relevant expertise in the specified area are essential.
  • Knowledge and experience with Instructional Management Systems (e.g., Moodle, D2L) would be an asset.

Course Details:

The Department is seeking candidates to teach the following courses:

82:160 Introduction to Psychology: Part I, 3 credit hours

Students will explore the foundations of psychology through an examination of history and research, biological and genetic foundations of behaviour, sensation and perception, consciousness, learning, and memory.

82:275 Adolescent Psychology, 3 credit hours

The course will cover the various stages of adolescent development and the particular problems and needs of young people.
