About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lawn Care Supervisor to join our team at Lawn 'N' Order. As a key member of our landscaping team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our grounds maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Manage Staff: Lead and direct a team of grounds maintenance staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement plans for grounds maintenance, including planting, pruning, and other landscaping tasks.
  • Coordinate Equipment and Supplies: Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment, as well as the ordering of necessary supplies.
  • Resolve Work Problems: Provide technical advice and guidance to staff to resolve any issues that may arise during the course of their work.
  • Manage Budget and Resources: Ensure that all tasks are completed within budget and that resources are allocated effectively.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role in the landscaping industry, with a focus on grounds maintenance.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA) certification and a provincial license to apply chemical fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, and pesticides.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Proficiency in the use of backhoes, chain saws, front-end loaders, pick-up trucks, small engine equipment, sod cutters, tractors, and skid-steers.
  • Transportation and Travel: A valid driver's license and the ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
