As an EHS & Quality Specialist at Sodexo, you will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of health, safety, and quality management across our diverse service lines. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure adherence to all relevant Health & Safety, Food Safety, Risk Management, Business Continuity, and Environmental Policies and Procedures. - Champion and advocate for a proactive safety culture through the outlined responsibilities.
- Evaluate and enforce policies and procedures related to Health, Safety & Quality across contracts, ensuring comprehensive understanding and training for all personnel.
- Deliver expert advice and best practices on Health, Safety & Quality matters across all operational sectors.
- Encourage and cultivate a safety and quality mindset to ensure effective policy implementation and adherence throughout Sodexo's operations.
- Assist in creating relevant training programs to ensure staff competency in Health, Safety & Quality.
- Oversee the development and review of risk assessments and associated safe work practices.
- Conduct regular Health & Safety inspections, audits, and assessments, documenting findings appropriately.
- Ensure prompt reporting and investigation of incidents and near misses in compliance with legislative requirements.
- Maintain effective relationships with the HSEQ team, Head of Quality, Health & Safety, and regulatory authorities.
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in occupational health and safety.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
- Comprehensive commercial experience and business insight.
- Proven experience in risk management and business continuity strategies.
- Background in quality assurance and laboratory management.
- Articulate with the ability to present confidently to various levels of management and colleagues.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to work outside of standard hours in case of emergencies.
