Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) & Quality Specialist
As an EHS & Quality Specialist at Sodexo, you will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of health, safety, and quality management across our diverse service lines. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure adherence to all relevant Health & Safety, Food Safety, Risk Management, Business Continuity, and Environmental Policies and Procedures. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Champion and advocate for a proactive safety culture through the outlined responsibilities.
  2. Evaluate and enforce policies and procedures related to Health, Safety & Quality across contracts, ensuring comprehensive understanding and training for all personnel.
  3. Deliver expert advice and best practices on Health, Safety & Quality matters across all operational sectors.
  4. Encourage and cultivate a safety and quality mindset to ensure effective policy implementation and adherence throughout Sodexo's operations.
  5. Assist in creating relevant training programs to ensure staff competency in Health, Safety & Quality.
  6. Oversee the development and review of risk assessments and associated safe work practices.
  7. Conduct regular Health & Safety inspections, audits, and assessments, documenting findings appropriately.
  8. Ensure prompt reporting and investigation of incidents and near misses in compliance with legislative requirements.
  9. Maintain effective relationships with the HSEQ team, Head of Quality, Health & Safety, and regulatory authorities.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in occupational health and safety.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
  • Comprehensive commercial experience and business insight.
  • Proven experience in risk management and business continuity strategies.
  • Background in quality assurance and laboratory management.
  • Articulate with the ability to present confidently to various levels of management and colleagues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to work outside of standard hours in case of emergencies.
