Job Title: Custodian - Maintenance and Operations

Job Summary:

The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Custodian - Maintenance and Operations to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our schools and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the cleanliness and safety of our schools and facilities.
  • Operate and maintain various equipment and machinery, including vacuum cleaners, mops, and other cleaning equipment.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify and report any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Assist with special projects and events, such as deep cleaning and renovations.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve common goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Related experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and initiative.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to support and enhance the school community.
  • Valid driver's license and use of your vehicle.
  • Ability to perform school checks as required.
  • Experience in a computerized environment.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Safety and/or WHMIS training.
  • Familiarity and understanding of the school community.
