Fruit Farm Worker Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit Fruit Farm Worker to join our team at S & S Sanghera Berry Farms Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to crop cultivation, harvesting, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain the crops to ensure optimal growth and quality.
  • Hand harvest vegetables and fruits, including blueberries, cabbage, cauliflowers, and cucumbers.
  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops to ensure healthy growth.
  • Weed and clean the work area to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Fertilize and spray crops to promote healthy growth and prevent disease.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure efficient harvesting and crop maintenance.
  • Detect and address disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry.
  • Examine products for quality and readiness for market.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work outdoors in a wet/damp, dusty, and hot environment. Staff accommodation is available on-site.

Requirements:
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Will train on the job.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and standing for extended periods.
