About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Aide to join our team at Extendicare Fort Macleod. As a valued member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning and disinfecting tasks, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing floors, walls, and windows.
  • Empty waste baskets, rearrange furniture, and perform heavy cleaning duties as required.
  • Participate in staff meetings and attend in-service education programs to stay up-to-date on infection prevention and control, quality assurance, and fire safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Considerable heavy lifting, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and moving equipment.
  • Ability to work safely and follow established safety practices and procedures.
  • Ability to read and write English and follow simple written and verbal instructions.
  • Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening required.
