Physiotherapist Job Description

VHA Home HealthCare is a leading provider of home care services in Ontario, and we are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team. As a Physiotherapist with VHA, you will have the opportunity to work with diverse client groups across Southern Ontario and the Capital region, providing physiotherapy consultation, assessment, and planned interventions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess clients using interviews, standardized and informal assessment techniques, and develop client-centered care plans.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions and evaluate their effectiveness using valid and reliable outcome measures.
  • Communicate with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care and promote client-centered care.
  • Document client assessment findings, treatment plans, progress, and discharge summaries in accordance with professional standards.
  • Prepare statistical records of client care and related activities as required by VHA and other agencies.
Requirements:
  • Baccalaureate or Masters degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized school of physiotherapy.
  • Registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience, preferably in community care.
  • Specialized courses to support areas of clinical expertise.
  • Clinical expertise to provide a variety of physiotherapy interventions.
  • Knowledge of community care requirements and resources available.
  • Excellent consultation and teaching skills, and utilization of an evidence base to clinical practice.
