Job Description

Finning is seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Director to lead our global sustainability strategy, ensuring compliance and governance, and driving business growth through sustainability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy, aligning with global standards and stakeholder expectations.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the development and execution of sustainability initiatives, driving innovation and value creation.
  • Partner with legal, internal audit, and operational teams to integrate sustainability practices into corporate policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze sustainability trends, regulations, and legislation, ensuring the company remains ahead of compliance requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a sustainability reporting framework, providing transparent and accurate reporting to stakeholders.
  • Engage with commercial leaders to gather insights on customer sustainability expectations and incorporate feedback into sustainability initiatives.
  • Drive innovation in sustainability, leveraging industry trends and best practices to enhance the customer experience.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental science, business, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of ESG regulatory requirements and trends nationally and globally.
  • Experience with sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI, CDP, and SASB.
  • Strong project management skills, with proven ability to plan, organize, and lead.
  • Persuasive communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to present to senior leadership internally and externally.
