Job Description

Finning is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainability Director to lead our global sustainability strategy. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive sustainability plan that aligns with our business objectives and supports our customers' sustainability needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a global sustainability strategy that addresses compliance, governance, and sustainability objectives
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the development and execution of sustainability initiatives
  • Partner with legal, internal audit, and operational teams to ensure sustainability practices are integrated into corporate policies and procedures
  • Provide oversight to sustainability audits and assessments across global operations
  • Develop and maintain a sustainability reporting framework that meets global standards
  • Engage with commercial leaders to gather insights and feedback on customer sustainability expectations
  • Work closely with the customer performance team to ensure our products and services meet sustainability needs
  • Drive innovation in sustainability that serves as a differentiator in the marketplace
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental science, business, or a related field
  • Knowledge of ESG regulatory requirements and trends nationally and globally
  • Experience with sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI, CDP, and SASB
  • Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Persuasive communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
